DCs asked to maintain law and order at shrines

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has directed the deputy commissioners, DCs, to prevent any attack on shrines in the country and maintain law and order there.
The ministry sent letters to the DCs giving them the instructions on Sunday.
The letters said the deputy commissioners have been urged to take necessary measures to maintain law and order at shrines as the miscreants are carrying out attacks on them to create instability in the country’s changed situation.
